We are an outreach ministry providing Christ-centered environments for fellowship and spiritual growth.

Aldersgate is a place where persons and groups can mature in their sense of self worth, discover what it means to be Christian stewards of personal and natural resources, and explore models of community that empower people to proclaim the Gospel.

Aldersgate is a camp and retreat center of the North Central New York Conference of The United Methodist Church.

The Beliefs of The United Methodist Church

John Wesley and the early Methodists were particularly concerned about inviting people to experience God’s grace and to grow in their knowledge and love of God through disciplined Christian living. They placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as “practical divinity” has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today. We invite you to learn more about our rich theological heritage.
