Mike grew up in Corning, NY, has a B.A. in Elementary Education from Bluffton College, and taught for six years. He is certified in Camp/Retreat Ministries in The United Methodist Church and has 20 years of camp leadership experience. He and his wife, Kari, make their home at Casowasco with their children, Ethan and Sydney. Kari, a former staff member, volunteers as the CCRM store manager. They both grew up attending camp at Casowasco and Aldersgate, and Kari's grandparents directed Aldersgate.
Joan has been the CCRM Administrative Assistant for 10 years. She supports the program through the Urban Initiative, program planning, marketing, brochure development and fundraising. She is a key member of the current Capital Campaign. Joan has three children and two granddaughters.
David has a B.S. in Christian Education and Children’s Ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University. He has been involved with Aldersgate and Casowasco for six years in various staff positions and grew up going to camp at Casowasco. He plans to be married to his fiancee, Alejandra in September 2009. David’s family also includes a twin sister, two older sisters, and his parents.
Deb has joined our staff after spending more than 7 years in the Illionis Great Rivers Conference Camping Ministries where she has been the Director/Manager of East Bay Camp. She is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in Recreation Administration and a concentration in Outdoor Education. Deb is based at Aldersgate with her family which includes husband, Mike, and daughters, Haile & Melanie.
