Introduce your family to a Christian camping experience the weekend of July 17 – July 19 for Family Life Weekend held at Aldersgate. All ages and all kinds of families enjoy a weekend packed with fun. There are special sessions for adults that include a keynote guest speaker. Classes for children, youth, college ages, and nursery occur during adult sessions. Enjoy swimming, family square dancing, the annual softball game, teen times, and good fellowship with other Christian families. Join us for the Annual Northern Flow/Mohawk District Lay Speaking Retreat to be held at Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center Friday, April 24 (3pm) – Sunday, April 26 (2pm).
Come be a part of this refreshing time to hear keynote and workshops by Rev Beth Benham, District Superintendant of the Northern Flow District. Workshops will be on these topics: Storytelling, Radical Hospitality, Personal Reflection, and Authentic Worship.
The rate for the full weekend (including housing, 6 meals, and workshop materials) is $120.
This will be a time to enjoy warm days amid the blossoms of Lily of the Valley, a relaxing hike through the tall pines, quiet time in an Adirondack chair beside the lake, and fireside fellowship with new friends & old.

The National Military Family Association announced recently that Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center has been chosen to host a popular Operation Purple® Summer Camp in 2009. The Association developed this free summer camp program in response to the need for increased support for military children, especially those whose parents are or will be deployed.
“The goal of Operation Purple® Summer Camp is to let these young heroes know that “Kids Serve Too!” Military children who attend camp will have the opportunity to learn the skills to cope the stress of a deployment and make friends with other kids who are also missing their mom or dad,” said Mary Scott, the Association’s Chairman of the Board. “The National Military Family Association is excited to work with Aldersgate on this very worthwhile program this very worthwhile program.”
“This is a wonderful opportunity for us to say ‘thank you’ to our military families for the sacrifice they are making on behalf of our country,” said Mike Huber, Executive Director of Aldersgate. “The staff of Aldersgate is excited and honored to have been chosen to host this program for a second year.”
Aldersgate will be transformed during the week of August 2 – 7, 2009 to help kids ages
8 – 15 years old understand “They, too, serve”. This year, Aldersgate will have 150 campers.

Aldersgate and Casowasco finished another amazing summer of ministry with over 1800 young people attending summer camp programs. Believe it or not, fall is just around the corner; and no spot is more beautiful during this vibrant season of the year than New York State’s Adirondack Mountains. The Camps, Conferences & Retreat Ministries Team is excited to announce our 2008 Fall Adirondack Getaway to be held October 3-5, 2008 at Aldersgate Camp & Retreat Center. We have a full weekend planned and hope you’ll take advantage of this exciting opportunity, and decide to spend some time with us!
Bill Smith, renowned Adirondack storyteller from Colton, NY will be on hand to spin some tales during our Saturday evening campfire time. Diamond Someday, popular Bluegrass band, will engage participants in a rousing performance of bluegrass, gospel and Adirondack tunes. Pearl and Jewell, a pair of Percheron horses, will take us on a leisurely wagon ride. Retreat guests will also have the option to enjoy an excursion on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. A guided nature hike, game and craft time, awesome fellowship and a unique time of worship will round out the weekend.

Summer Camp begins today at Aldersgate and Casowasco. Over 300 campers will begin a fun - filled week experiencing new friends, new activities, and new staff.

Please be in prayer for all the campers and summer staff that are involved in making a life changing experience this week. We are blessed for having two of the most beautiful places that God has provided to us on earth. Casowasco and Aldersgate are “places where lives are changed.”

Come join us and help Aldersgate celebrate our 60th Anniversary of 60 years in ministry on Saturday, June 21st from 2-7pm. Whether you are a family who is learning about Aldersgate, have a child attending for the first time, you haven’t been back to visit us in awhile, or you haven’t visited yet this year, this is the event for you. CCRM Staff has decided to cancel the upcoming work day at Aldersgate on Saturday, May 24th. We hope that everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with family and friends honoring those who serve in our military and those who have fallen in service to our country.
