G’Day Mate! Can’t get enough of the woods and being outdoors? Come and explore the Aldersgate bush (outback) and learn about the wonder of God’s creation. We’ll creek stomp, hike trails, visit the bog, learn to identify the plants of the Adirondacks, cook over the bush telly (campfire) and get up close and personal with the animals in the Aldersgate Nature Center. Come to camp with just the guys and make new cobbers (friends) while you’re at it.

Let’s start at the top … 5, 6, 7, 8 … Shed (practice) and perform as part of a jazz ensemble, jam with the group, and learn to improvise as you savor all the traditional fun of camp: swimming, s'mores, and hanging out. We’ve got some great charts for you to learn and perform locally and for your parents, too. Musicians should have at least 2 years experience and be proficient on their instrument.
Beyond Outpost! Do you enjoy: the great outdoors? hiking the trails rain or shine? sleeping in tents under the stars? cooking meals over an open fire? exploring God's incredible creation? Then this is the program for you! Share a week with a group of awesome new friends and counselors. We’ll test your strength, endurance, and enthusiasm as we hike three or more miles each day and tent or sleep in lean-tos along the way. Come grow in your faith as you explore in the Adirondacks.
Experience camp with just us girls. In this short program, make candles, toast marshmallows to build a s’more, swim, and experience a rowboat ride like girls of the past have done. Bring your favorite teddy bear and get ready for a great time.

Explore the use of dance as we worship the Lord through movement. Dancers of all levels and disciplines are welcome – no prior dance experience is necessary to attend. Receive instruction in a variety of dance styles while enjoying the traditional camp activities. 5, 6, 7, 8 … Dance!
Come to camp and Do It All! Swimming, games, boating, sports, crafts, campfires – sound like fun? You’ll have a blast doing all of the fun stuff that makes camp great! Get ready for a week you'll never forget.
Get extremely wet as you dive into the water zone. Swim, canoe, play beach volleyball, funyak, creek stomp, explore the bog, play water games, and have an awesome water carnival. Work on improving your swimming skills. Explore Pleasant and Brantingham Lakes. Don’t forget your goggles.
Ice Cream Breakfast, Survivor Day, Slime Time, Extremely Wet Day! What more could you ask for in a week of camp? Don't forget s'mores, worship, and campfires. You'll have some incredible stories to tell at the end of this week.
Introduce your family to a Christian camping experience. All ages and all kinds of families enjoy a weekend packed with fun. There are special sessions for adults that include a keynote speaker. Classes for children, youth, college ages, and nursery occur during adult sessions. Enjoy swimming, family square dancing, the annual softball game, teen times, and good fellowship with other Christian families. This specialized programming is the exciting answer to the most nerve-wracking episode ever. You won’t want to miss this one! Come and fish in lakes, a stream, and a river. Learn the art of fishing with artificial bait including spoons, jigs, and plugs. Tie some flies yourself and learn how to use them to fish, too. Bring your own rod and reel and tackle box; we’ll add to your collections of fishing equipment. Head home with new “fish stories” to share and friendships that run deep! Learn about the Master Fisherman, Jesus and about becoming fishers of men!
Are you ready for the time of your life this summer? Then Friends at Aldersgate is the place to be! Come for an awesome week of fun and fellowship. Experience laughter during cabin times, hiking in the Adirondacks, playing in the annual volleyball tournament, taking on the challenge of Aldersgate’s initiatives and a High Ropes Course challenge at Beaver Camp. Make friends that will last a lifetime because, “Friends are friends forever when the Lord’s the Lord of them.”
Bring your camera, journal, sketchpad, and pencils as you explore your creativity with friends new and old. Create crafts from nature, sculpt in clay, and make buddies out of beads. Explore your culinary creativity by making homemade ice cream. Creatively explore God’s creation in the wilderness and natural wonders of Aldersgate.
Who doesn’t want to be glamorous? We'll have a visit from a beauty consultant; but more importantly, we’ll discover what real beauty is all about. Did you know that you are a princess of the King? Stay up late, enjoy a slumber party one night – paint your nails and have a blast with new and old friends. It’s just us girls!
Hang out and relax at Aldersgate. Stay up late and sleep in one morning. Choose some of your favorite camp activities as a group and a custom schedule will be created just for Hang Out Trek. Enjoy conversations around the campfire, make homemade ice cream and enjoy a relaxed week at camp. Bring friends from home, see friends from last summer, and make new friends, too.
Here ... Fishy, Fishy, Fishy. Like to fish? Come bait your hook at this short program and catch the big one with us. Learn a story about a BIG FISH and the Master Fisherman. Fish, swim, boat, and sing. Every camper takes home their own rod and reel.
This one is for horse lovers. For novice and beginning riders as well as those who ride infrequently. Visit the stables four times to ride Western and learn basic horsemanship, tack care, grooming, saddles, and cleaning the barn. This program focuses on the basics: grooming, saddling, walking, and trotting. Learn some horse science, too.
Bring your bike to camp. Take a wild ride through a week of on and off-road trailblazing fun on the roads around camp and the trails through the Aldersgate wilderness area. Enjoy all the traditional fun of camp while learning bike safety and basic maintenance. Work up to a day trip. Try out the NEW Diggler, just for fun. Don't forget your helmet – it might be a bumpy ride!
Are you ready to go deeper in your faith and lead? The LIT program is designed to teach important aspects of leadership that can be transferred to any setting. Training involves a high ropes challenge, experiencing the best of camp, and developing your God-given gifts. LITs may be asked to serve a week or more by Aldersgate invitation only. This is dependent on successful completion of training, completed application, references, disclosure form, interview, demonstration of skills, and ability to work as a member of a team. LITs who are asked to serve will be mentored by experienced staff and have an opportunity to apply the skills they’ve learned while working with campers and focusing on exploring what God intends leadership to be. LIT Alumni are encouraged to return for advanced training at a 25% discount.
Do you like motors and engines? Come and help work on a classic set of wheels. Race go-carts, use remote control boats on Brantingham Lake, remote control “birds” in the field, and remote control cars, racing in the Aldersgate Grand Prix. Enjoy a cruise-in and get greasy.
Walk the paths of American Indian nations. Learn from their history, wisdom, and lore what it means to be a Christian Native American. Live as part of the tribe for a whole week. Try traditional tribal activities, learn about nature, make crafts, dig at the archaeological site, and cook over the open flame. Explore how God worked long ago and how He works in your life today.
Did you ever want to stay up late and sleep in? By Wednesday, we’ll be eating breakfast at lunchtime, and lunch at dinnertime. Climb our new indoor bouldering wall! Experience the challenge course, night hikes, stargazing, glow-in-the-dark Frisbee and capture the flag.
Want to come to camp but not sure what you’ll find and don’t want to sleepover alone? Don’t worry, One Day Adventure is for you. Come spend the day (10am-4pm) taking a hike, swimming, playing camp games, and toasting marshmallows to build a s’more. It’s a day to remember.
Fly high in the sky in a sea plane, experience the thrill of a train ride on the Adirondack Railway, and see a classic car. Go really fast on a go-cart track and experience the challenge course. Don’t forget swimming, archery, and campfires.
Are you a hard core skater, boarder, biker, or do you want to be? Do you eat, sleep, and breathe biking, boarding, and blading? What better place to hang out and do it than Aldersgate. Ride the trails on a NEW Mountain Board, hit the ramps and Hot Rails, or do some off road trail blazing on your bike. Bring your bike, rollerblades, and/or skateboard along – don’t forget the pads and helmet!
For avid horse fans that can saddle, walk, and proficiently jog a horse. Visit the stables each day as you learn to lope and improve your riding skills. This program is for experienced wranglers only.
Feel the need for speed at the Go Cart track, learn what teamwork is all about on the challenge course, and head off on the trails mountain biking or on the NEW Mountain Boards. Don't forget archery and our water slide. Hold on to your hat for a wild camp ride.
For those with little to no riding experience. If you love horses, then put on your boots and saddle up for Christ. Experience the best of camp, while focusing on the big, graceful horses. Hang out with friends new and old as you enjoy swimming, games, and campfires, too.
Water, water everywhere. You might as well grab your sleeping bag and put it right on the beach, because you’ll just about live at the waterfront. Paddle a canoe, row a boat, and try snorkeling, too. Serve it up in beach volleyball and be ready to get wet during the water carnival. It's fun in the sun.
Knock! Knock! Who’s there? What’s the password? You’ll get to know this and other cool spyish things. Complete secret missions; decode secret messages, play spy games, make up cool spy names and aliases, and do random good deeds all week long.
For Special Needs Campers: Celebrate God’s love through music, stories, crafts, and activities. Take time to enjoy God’s beautiful creation. A 2:1 camper:counselor ratio is maintained. Ability to care for oneself is required.
Challenge yourself and your team to the Nitro Crossing and the Wild Woozy on Aldersgate’s challenge course. Can you handle the sunken canoe race? An adventure on Beaver Camp's High Ropes Course with the zip-line and climbing tower awaits you. Climb our NEW indoor bouldering wall! Come to be challenged and have an adventurously fantastic time.
Get ready to embark on an exciting adventure … what will each day hold? Take part in a quest each day as you solve riddles and meet group challenges. Cook over a campfire, test your skills in archery and canoeing, and explore the bog. Come and learn to walk like Jesus in the quest for faith and fellowship. This camp is full of surprises.
Play Everyday! Board games, sports, adventure, puzzles, scavenger hunts, water games, field games, forest games. Bring your favorite sports gear or game for this week of fun, games, and sports. Come and have fun with teamwork and sportsmanship as our ultimate goal. Plan on stretching your mind, body, and spirit as you match wits with friends and counselors. Dare to play everyday.
Ladies – come and spend a week in the woods with just the girls. Have campfires and cook some of your meals. Grow as a team on the challenge course, hike, stargaze, work at crafts, and discover the wonder of God’s creation. Climb our new indoor bouldering wall! Learn about heroines in the Bible who really lived their lives for God.
Come to this short program for a special treasure adventure. Learn about Jesus and the treasure He is for us. Each day will send us on a new treasure hunt along with swimming, crafts, games, and other camp fun.
All the fun of extreme water zone, PLUS we’ll take a Whitewater rafting trip (Class III-IV) down the Black River! Work together on the challenge course, try your hand at archery, bounce and launch on the AquaPark, and have a luau, too. NEW this year – we’ll go tubing on Brantingham Lake!
