Our Staff, Dedicated Servants

Our ministry is blessed with an amazing staff! Our purpose is to help campers and families grow closer to Christ. To accomplish this, we train enthusiastic staff members who are excited about Christ and about making a life-changing impact on our kids. They are eager to have an awesome week with each camper, making memories that will last a lifetime.

Experience with children, personal and spiritual maturity and aptitude for building healthy relationships within the camp setting are crucial in the selection of our staff. Their love for Jesus, people, and life in general makes them the great role models we want for your children. The average age of our summer staff is 22 years old and most are college students. Some are school teachers and coaches. The maximum camper to counselor ratio is eight to one and often as low as five to one. The camper to staff ratio averages a very low three to one.

In addition to a full time staff, we are blessed with dedicated volunteers. These generous individuals join our team for a week or more, serving in a variety of roles. Our entire staff is carefully screened and trained to ensure the safety and enjoyment of each child in our program.

Hello Friends,

You will find the atmosphere at Casowasco to be friendly, loving, caring, fun, intentional and passion-filled. We provide a safe place where children and youth can find themselves, define themselves, and just be themselves. Our enthusiastic and dedicated team of professional staff is preparing for a fantastic summer.

As a camper at Casowasco I spent time around the camp fire, made crafts, hiked The Gorge, learned to build and fly hot air balloons and swam in a lake for the first time. As a teenager, I played my guitar and sang a solo in front of my peers for the first time in the Foster Center. I know firsthand that an experience at Casowasco changes a life forever. Seeds planted in me during those formative years have helped to nurture me into the person I am today.

Our mission is to provide programs for the purpose of Christian education and spiritual birth, growth, and renewal. Sending your children to a fun-filled, life changing week or weeks at summer camp is an investment in their lives. Campers will make new friends, learn something new, experience Christian community, learn more about their relationship with God, and have fun doing it. Our low camper to staff ratio helps to ensure a positive experience for each camper. First time and returning campers alike will be able to experience something new at camp this year. Casowasco offers a quality program that continues to impact the world by empowering children and youth to love God and their neighbor.

The Huber FamilyCasowasco’s 65th year of ministering to children and youth is going to be awesome and we look forward to sharing it with you!

In Christ,
Mike Huber,
Executive Director

Have you ever seen a wave rise and fall as it moves towards shore? Have you ever thought about what causes a wave?

This summer, join us as we dive in and find out what type of chain reactions some amazing people caused during biblical times and how those reactions are still transforming our world today, more than 2000 years later.

When you leave camp at the end of the week, you will become part of the world’s largest chain reaction. Better yet – you’ll know how to carry it on to your friends and neighbors!
